Freeline Media Review: “Plaits” - Freeline Media

With their hippie clothing and up to date 1960’s lingo, a revival of “Hair” – the 1968 Broadway musical by Gerome Ragni and James Rado — inevitably feels like a nostalgic release. They’re smoking pot,... Watching juvenile women demand sexual freedom and the right to sleep with whoever they want, it’s hard not to think about today’s debate over whether. And there’s no impossible while watching both productions that you get a striking — and fascinating — reminder of just how much has changed in our society. For example, what may have seemed startling to middlebrow audiences in the till 1960s feels quaint today.
